The company "World of Plants" participated in the Arab Internet of Things Challenge, where it advanced to the finals at the regional level. Representing the company was the Jordanian student Shahed Al-Khateeb, who competed in the university ideas category with her project "Detection of Plant Diseases."
The local version of the challenge in Jordan was organized by "Al-Rain Tech Consultancy Solutions" with the goal of encouraging young people and startups working in this field to transform their ideas into productive projects and to prepare them for participation in the Arab Internet of Things Challenge.
The Internet of Things Challenge program helps participants apply their innovative ideas by providing suitable conditions and a supportive environment that fosters creativity. The program is supported by major organizations like the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which created the ideal environment for competitors to complete and implement their projects successfully, offering ongoing support from the beginning until project completion.
In the local edition, many partners contributed to the success of the event, including the business incubator "Big by Orange" as a telecommunications sponsor, and the strategic partner Jordan Innovation Center (INJO4.0), a European Union-funded project aimed at supporting industrial sectors and youth to build capacities and adopt Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions to improve local industries and harness youth potential.
